Sunday Morning for kids

St. Mark's welcomes families of all kinds into our vibrant and diverse community of faith. We believe that children and youth are a central part of our community life. Children, youth and families are encouraged to participate in a variety of opportunities for worship, education, service and fellowship.

Children's Chapel is offered during both services for children ages 4 through 5th Grade. If you have a child in this age group, we invite you to bring them into church for the start of the service. They will be led into chapel during our singing just before the Gospel Reading. In Children's Chapel, they will hear the same readings, have a special message, pray age appropriate prayers and have the opportunity for singing. They will return to the church before communion.

A Children's Activity Center is located just outside our main worship area. There you will find crayons, stickers and toys along with coloring and activity sheets. Please take advantage of these materials during the service. Children may come and go from this area throughout the service.

Nursery Care is also available on Sunday mornings from 9:00 A.M. until Noon. (during both worship services and the education hour) The nursery attendants are trained child-care providers with necessary clearances and trainings. The nursery is available for children through 3 years old.

spark: Sunday Morning

St. Mark's is committed to delivering a time of enrichment for children of all ages on Sunday mornings at 10:00 A.M.

Our goal is to help form engaged Christians while building up a faith community that can "spark" action in the greater community.

We offer two groups where our youngest members can plug in:

Spark (Pre-K through 5th Grade) - Spark is a Bible-based program designed to engage multi-age learners, enabling them to navigate Bible stories and compare what they learn with their own lives. The group experiences the Old and New Testaments throughout the year.

Lead Teacher: Ms. Lindsey Fogle

Collaborate (6th Grade through 12th Grade) - Collaborate understands that this group has plenty of questions and lots going on in their lives. Rather than faith being handed over as an established set of facts to be learned and memorized, it’s presented as a path of growth and discovery. Learners are invited to bring their questions and curiosity to every meeting. This group will also be given opportunities for learning beyond the classroom through service and fellowship events.

Lead Teacher: Trae Yeckley

Enrollment is open for all children and youth programs throughout the year. To download a registration form click here
