The Feeding Our Soul Capital Campaign concluded on All Saints’ Day in November of 2014. The congregation pledged $600,254.46 and planning is currently underway for significant upgrades to our building. Since that time, $500,000 has been paid into the Capital Fund.
Boston architect Lindsay Shives led us through a building design discernment process that resulted in a preliminary concept for the building. In an effort to streamline the building process, the Bishop’s Committee retained the service of local architect Christopher Coughlin of Hallgren, Restifo, Loop and Coughlin, a well regarded Erie architectural firm.
In November of 2015, St. Mark's hosted an evening event that included a presentation from our architect and the opportunity for the congregation to give input into the preliminary plans for our upcoming building project. Soon after this event, the Bishop's Committee and Building Discernment Team reviewed all of the data and thoroughly discussed the congregation's input. As a result, revisions were made in consultation with the architect.
In February of 2016, Eriez Construction was hired to serve as the general contractor. Construction was completed and the new building was dedicated in 2017.
