Advocacy

St. Mark’s and the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul have recently formed two community partnership working groups that include members of both the Cathedral and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Erie.

The advocacy group partners with local grassroots organizations to assist in advocacy and activism about racism, gun violence, environmental justice, poverty and other issues that directly affect the people of Erie. Recently, the group has worked with existing partners, including the anti-violence group the Blue Coats, the Our West Bayfront neighborhood revitalization initiative and Erie Welcome Table, an immigration advocacy group. This group is also tasked with looking out for new potential partners to engage with and support.
